The Seventh-day Adventist College of Education, Agona-Ashanti (SDACOE), has completed a major campus-wide ICT upgrade, providing both staff and students with secure, high-speed wired and wireless connectivity. The project marks a significant step forward in the college’s digital transformation agenda.
The network design and implementation were led by Mr. Abubakr Siddique Muntaka, a renowned IT Consultant for Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) colleges in Ghana. Mr. Muntaka brought extensive experience from similar large-scale projects across the country, including KNUST’s College of Art and Social Sciences (CASS), Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery College in Agogo, and Community Health Nursing Training School in Akim Oda, where he designed a large-scale secured ICT lab praised by NMC Ghana for hosting national e-examinations.
At SDACOE, Mr. Muntaka and his team delivered a robust wired network for administrative offices and a lab that supports teaching, learning, and assessment. Additionally, a secure wireless system was deployed across key academic blocks and student hostels, ensuring seamless access to digital resources.
The project was supported by T-TEL (Transforming Teaching, Education and Learning), as part of efforts to strengthen ICT integration in teacher training colleges.
“This is a game-changer for our campus. The infrastructure supports our vision for smart education and efficient academic services,” said a representative from the college.
Mr. Muntaka continues to support educational institutions across Ghana in designing scalable and secure digital systems that meet international standards for performance and reliability.
