On Thursday, 13th June 2025, the Seventh-day Adventist College of Education, Agona-Ashanti, proudly held its 6th Annual Graduation Ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2024. The event marked a major milestone for the 218 graduating students, who were honored for their academic and extracurricular accomplishments over the past four years.
The ceremony drew a large and distinguished audience, including principals from sister colleges, leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and other invited guests. Notably, Dr. Emmanuel Kyei, a senior lecturer from the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at AAMUSTED, served as the Guest Speaker. Nana Dwapa Ameyaw II, Bipoahene and Acting President of the Agona Traditional Council, was also present, lending traditional authority and prestige to the occasion.

In his keynote address, the Principal of the College, Dr. Peter Ofori Atakorah, shared highlights of the college’s progress during the academic year. He spoke about key projects underway and gave an overview of the graduating class’s achievements. Dr. Atakorah also made a passionate appeal to the government—represented by the Municipal Chief Executive of Sekyere South, Hon. Evans Amo Twumasi—to support the completion of essential infrastructure and other developmental needs of the college.
Delivering a powerful message on the theme, “Preparing Learners for Global Citizenship through Teaching and Research: The Role of Students of Colleges of Education,” Dr. Emmanuel Kyei challenged graduates to go beyond the classroom and become agents of change in a rapidly globalizing world.

Miss Paulinah Quansah, the class valedictorian, gave a heartfelt speech reflecting on the memorable journey of the past four years. She spoke on how their shared experiences, challenges, and triumphs have shaped them into confident and competent individuals, ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
As part of the celebrations, awards were presented to students who excelled in academics, sports, student services, leadership, discipline, and church activities. Out of the 218 graduates, 22 earned First Class Honours, 126 received Second Class Upper, 66 achieved Second Class Lower, and 4 were awarded Third Class Honours.
